On Friday, October 28th, Marissa was the second Cal finisher at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships in Tucson, Arizona. She placed 32nd in the 6k race with a time of 21:31.5. View results

On Saturday, October 15th, Marissa finished 38th in the 6k race at the ISU Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, with a time of 20:52. View results
This past Saturday, the Cal cross country team closed out the regular season in solid fashion. With only two weeks remaining before the Pac-12 Championships, the Bears competed at the NCAA Pre-Nationals and the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational.
The NCAA Pre-Nationals brought the women one of their best performances on the season, finishing eighth out of 41 teams with a time of 1:45.2. The LaVern Gibson Championship Course saw junior Bethan Knights run the 6K course in 20:21.0 to place eighth out of a field of 284. Read more
On Friday, September 30th, Marissa placed 16th in the 5k race on the Burke Golf Course at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Indiana, with a PR time of 16:44.7. View results.
A busy weekend for the California cross country teams began in exceptional fashion Friday afternoon at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational. Both Golden Bear teams competing finished their respective races in the team top ten and with two top 20 individual performances. Read more
On Saturday, September 3rd, Marissa opened her 2016 cross country season at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. She finished the 6,000 meters race in 6th place with a time of 21:13.7. View results
The 2016 California cross country season got off to a fantastic start Saturday morning as the Golden Bears posted a pair of top-5 finishes at the 24th annual University of San Francisco Invitational. The Cal men claimed their third consecutive title at the event (21 points) while the Golden Bear women finished in third overall (47 points). Read more

… Marissa Williams capped off her brilliant prep career by shattering the City finals records in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, then shaving a full eight seconds off her personal-best time to place second in the 1,600 by 55 hundredths of a second at the state track finals in Clovis.Two hours later the Pali High senior passed eight runners on the bell lap to take third in the 3,200. She won the Post Cup Award in June and made the All-Pac-12 cross country second team as a freshman at California. Read more
On Friday, November 13, Marissa was the second Cal finisher behind teammate Mariel Mendoza at the NCAA Division I West Region Cross Country Championships, in Seattle, Washington.. Marissa placed 32nd with a time of 21:20.9, just four seconds behind Mendoza
The California men’s cross co untry team earned an at-large bid for the upcoming NCAA Cross Country Championships after a stellar showing this season that culminated in a sixth-place finish at the NCAA West Regional Championships that were held Friday at Jefferson Golf Course in Seattle. Read more
Marissa was one of only two freshmen selected to the All-Pac-12 Women’s Cross Country Team.
The California pair of senior Chris Walden and freshman Marissa Williams were named to the All-Pac-12 Cross Country Teams, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Both Golden Bears were named to their respective second teams after their performances at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships last weekend in Colfax, Wash. Walden earned the honors on the men’s side, and Williams did so on the women’s side. Read more
On Friday, October 30, Marissa led the University of California women’s cross country team to a 7th place finish at the Pac-12 Championships in Colfax, Washington. Marissa finished 13th overall, running a season-best time of 20:24.0. View results
