Marissa’s Cal Athletics Interview

Marissa discusses her four-year path to the University of California-Berkeley with CalBears.com.

California freshman cross country runner Marissa Williams sat down with CalBears.com to talk about how she got into running and how that path ultimately led her to Berkeley. As someone who didn’t begin competitive running until her freshman year of high school, Williams has seen great success as a prep runner – three consecutive City Sectional Division 1 cross country championships and a track career that saw her become the first female to win three distance events at the City Section Track championships.

Williams, who made her collegiate debut last week at the Roy Griak Invitational, was one of two Golden Bear freshman women to compete at the prestigious event.  Read more
