Palisades High Cross Country Team Has Depth

The Palisades High cross country team has depth, according to coach Bob Macias.

While junior Marissa Williams will draw considerable attention this season, Palisades High cross-country coach Bob Macias is excited about the depth of his boys and girls teams. Last season, the girls finished second in City Section finals and the boys team were fifth.

Williams broke City records in her sophomore year, and is off to another terrific start this season, winning the Seaside Invitational with a time of 16:39, and finishing second (16:22) at the Woodbridge Classic behind Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley High. Last Saturday, Williams posted another second-place finish at the prestigious Bell-Jeff Invitational at Griffith Park, 16:56 on the 2.94-mile Greek Theatre Course. Read more
